Valley Construction Company was founded in 1925 here in the Quad Cities. Today the Hass family still owns and operates the family business, self- performing earthwork, utilities, paving, structures and building construction. We are customer focused, striving to build relationships built on integrity, performance and trust. Our desire to serve our changing customer base has molded a turn of the century company into a responsive and flexible general contractor. We employ a project management philosophy of comprehensive planning, scheduling, and project execution. Greg Hass
President (CEO)
Greg is the Chief Executive in charge of business operations, leads the corporate strategic planning and strategy efforts and focuses on client relationships. He currently serves on the Executive Board of the Quad Cities Chamber, Illinois State Police Merit Board, and the St. Ambrose Univ. MBA Advisory Board just to name a few.
Adam Hass
Vice President
Adam focuses on team development, estimating and managing projects for Valley, as well as leading the efforts to expand Valley’s industrial/power client base. He holds a degree in Construction Management from the University of Northern Iowa and is an active volunteer and a supporter of many local nonprofit organizations.
John, Jim, Bill Hass
The opportunities of today are a direct result of the strong foundation created by John, Jim and Bill Hass. The Hass brothers managed Valley Construction Company for nearly 50 years, growing and expanding the company their father, Arthur Hass, founded in 1925. John, Jim and Bill are responsible for the company’s growth and success through good economic times and bad. Their vision and strategy to diversify and execute multiple company acquisitions allows for the multi-faceted approach to client satisfaction that Valley Construction Company currently provides.
Our History
What began in the early 1920’s as one determined man with a single piece of horse-drawn equipment has grown into one of the most well-known and well-respected construction firms in this region. Arthur J. Hass founded Valley Construction Company in 1925 and that first small project helped to establish the foundation for a company that has over 85 years of steady, safe and respected growth. Into its third generation of Valley leadership and fourth generation of contractors, the Hass family owns and operates the company that now performs grading, utilities, structures, industrial, bridge and building construction, in addition to its original paving capabilities.
Valley Construction Co. seeks to continually build on its rich history of using the latest construction technologies more safely and with more value than any of its competitors. Both private and public clients continue to demand more from contractors and Valley continues to stay ahead of those demands with investments in personnel, equipment and technology.
