The new Milan Beltway to Moline bridge was opened last summer. Motorists traveling from Rock Island into Moline are now directed onto an extended 52nd Ave which carries traffic over the new four lanes that will serve the Veterans Memorial Bridge at Carr’s Crossing, commonly known as the Milan Beltway Bridge. Motorists will have to take an exit ramp from 52nd Ave to access Eastbound John Deere road towards the 7th Street intersection.

Traffic that continues East on 52nd Ave will have the option to turn left into Trinity Medical Center, AAA Rental and several other businesses located on 3rd Street and the surrounding Trinity 7th Street Campus, without driving back onto John Deere Road and through the busy 7th Street intersection.

Motorists who wish to access the Menards, Target, and Kohls area can also travel East on 52nd Ave and make a left turn onto 7th Street to avoid the John Deere Road and 7th Street intersection.

Motorists traveling from Rock Island to the South Park area can continue on 52nd Ave through the 7th Street four way stop intersection, and arrive at 16th street.

Several drivers have commented that the new “back way” to the 3rd, 7th, and 16th Street business’s from east bound 52nd Ave will relieve the congestion that they often encounter while driving John Deere Road.
